What’s next for Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers?
That is a question that many fans are asking now that the Blazers have ended yet another season in disappointment.
The idea of Lillard leaving Portland isn’t new, it’s been spoken about for years now, but it feels more likely than ever before.
Stephen A. Smith has an idea of which team should aim for Lillard if he cuts ties with Portland.
Smith believes that the Philadelphia 76ers should target Lillard if James Harden decides to leave.
“I would take Damian Lillard over James Harden in a heartbeat. I wouldn’t think twice if I was Philly and I can get my hands on Dame and I had to forfeit Harden,” Smith said on First Take, according to NBACentral.

Philly would just be one of the many teams trying to acquire Lillard since he’s one of the most celebrated, accomplished, and impressive guards in the NBA.

Meanwhile, many others thought the concept of Philadelphia adding Lillard is far-fetched and nearly impossible.

There are many who feel Lillard for Harden isn’t the right move.

Then there were some who believe the 76ers should aim to get Lillard even if Harden is still on their roster.

It remains to be seen if the 76ers get Lillard.
It also remains to be seen if he even decides to leave the Trail Blazers.
But if he does choose to leave Rip City, the 76ers will be just one of many teams jockeying to get a taste of Dame Time.
