Doc Rivers has given Philadelphia 76ers fans horrible news.

Just when things couldn’t be better for them, Joel Embiid picked up a new injury.

The big man was expected to miss Game 4 of their Brooklyn Nets series, but now things could be worse.

Talking with reporters, Rivers offered an update on Embiid and the results of his MRI aren’t that promising.

Just when the Sixers looked ready to become the first team to sweep their rivals, Embiid has gone down.

This isn’t good at all, as the player tends to get hurt once the postseason arrives, and history may be repeating itself this year.

Before going down he was averaging 20.0 points, 11.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists in three games.

Now, the Sixers have a harder task at hand, but Rivers remains confident that they can get the job done.

James Harden must step up if he wants to lead this squad to the promised land.

So far, he’s averaged 17.3 points, 8.0 assists and 4.7 rebounds, but these numbers must be better in the next round.

This is a painful loss for the Sixers. They’ve seen how Embiid has struggled with injuries in the past and they don’t want to see this again.

It seemed like this season was the one for them, but without Embiid on the court, it’s gets very difficult.
