The Los Angeles Rams have recently conducted a pre-draft interview, just days before the big event.

Christian Izien Jr. has established himself as a top safety option in the incoming draft class.

According to Jordan Schultz, Izien has met with several teams up to this point, with the Rams being the latest.

Izien ran a 4.41 40-yard dash at the combine and has a 41.5-inch vertical.

Both of these measurables stood out to scouts, and as a result, Izien has found himself in many safety conversations.

During his final season at Rutgers, Izien racked up 83 total tackles, 1.5 sacks, and five pass defenses.

If Izien’s pre-draft measurables are any indication, he will be an impactful NFL player, no matter his destination.

The Rams have recently lost Jalen Ramsey to the Miami Dolphins and could use some depth in their secondary.

Will Izien be their preferred target?

Heading into the NFL Draft, the Rams have 11 total picks, but the majority of them happen in the later rounds due to their trade for Matthew Stafford.

Their first pick isn’t until the second round, which is the 36th overall pick.

If Izien is available, the Rams might be tempted to take him with their second-round selection.

If he is snatched up earlier in the draft, the Rams will need to look elsewhere and also use their late-round picks to build their roster.

With any luck, the Rams will be able to find impactful players for their team, and make an impact within the division, pending the overall health of the team.
