The New York Giants had one of the best NFL Drafts, at least, in the eyes of many analysts and experts.

Now that the draft is over, they can re-focus their attention on different efforts, including contract talks.

According to Adam Schefter, the team and Saquon Barkley are slated to continue their conversations about a contract extension.

Barkley and Daniel Jones were both in search of contract extensions during the offseason.

While Jones was able to secure a long-term extension, Barkley was just franchise-tagged, tying him to the team for one more season.

With any luck, Barkley and the Giants will agree to keep him on the Giants for the foreseeable future.

Many fans expressed their excitement about this development, considering Barkley’s track record as a rusher.

Many fans believe that Barkley is a vital part of this team.

Between his impact on team culture, the energy that he provides to the fanbase, and this sheer on-field impact, Barkley is a beloved member of the Giants team.

Although he had injury concerns in the past, Barkley turned things around in 2022.

Will he be able to continue his success this season and beyond?

Many fans believe so and think that he is deserving of a large contract.

Not everyone is on the same page, unfortunately for Barkley.

As this fan indicates, he would rather the Giants franchise tag him again in 2023 rather than sign a large contract.

How will both parties proceed, especially considering that training camp is just around the corner?
