Following a Game 1 loss against the Los Angeles Lakers, some people were fearing that the Golden State Warriors might be pushed out in the second round of the playoffs.

Following Thursday night’s massive win, people are no longer so fearful.

Colin Cowherd dissected the Warriors’ crucial victory and made it all seem so simple.

“They went smaller, got faster and the Lakers were overwhelmed,” Cowherd said.

Cowherd said that the Warriors played a game based on adjustments.

Head coach Steve Kerr took a look at where things went wrong in Game 1 and he changed his lineup to address these problems.

That meant less of Kevon Looney, a different role for Stephen Curry, and shooters spaced out all across the floor.

Instead of trying to compete with the Lakers’ size, Golden State embraced it and ultimately used it against them.

In the end, they made the Game 2 win look easy.

All of the reactions following Game 1 look like overreactions now, according to Cowherd.

“Watching the media and fans react and overreact to a Warriors loss has become an annual tradition in May and June,” he said.

The Warriors definitely found a strong rhythm on Thursday night, but will they be able to keep it?

Will Lakers head coach Darvin Ham do what Kerr did and make his own series of adjustments to improve his team’s chances?

The Warriors remained calm and collected after the first game and didn’t get bogged down by worry.

Instead, they regrouped and reframed their approach to their opponent.

Now it is time for the Lakers to do the same.

Will the Warriors look the same in Game 3?

More importantly, will the Lakers be the ones who look different?
