Ill be honest with you guys, i didnt realy gave a chance to a lot of anime this summer,
a lot of people told me to give this anime a chance, i watched the first anime and i was flabbergasted.
im not exaggerating this anime has one of the bests first episodes i have ever watched.
Zom 100 has one of the bests animation this summer and no question the best original story this season, every character has his role to make this anime great as it is, even the annoying ones, its so emotional and u cant stop watching after episode one.
I recommend this anime ...

At first you expect a series of the lot but the episodes go by and try to be different although this does not achieve it so much for the simple reason that it has many clichés of reincarnation series, they want to turn it around as they present it, because the reincarnated He is a person with great ability and not just anyone, it is interesting how the episodes go by since I really liked the plot, it is one of those simple series in its realization but with interesting concepts (not impressive or innovative, just interesting), come on seeing how the reincarnated was not ... the only one in that world that there were many other attempts giving freshness to why this is the chosen one and it is not only the first option of a benevolent god and although at the end of the entire season a group of girls who are going to be with our protagonist and something very cliché in this type of series seems to me, I think it was not as bad as they did, it was not only created by the fact that the author wanted to have his group of women in the series (partly if it is for this) but they try to justify that the protagonist saved them and be grateful to him (said like that I think that if it sounds very cliché), it was a season which I expected much more since I thought it would end the season and with it the series (this was not the case), but even so it was not so bad, I just think that they ended it like this to be able to do another season and extend the series much longer.
It was entertaining and I think that if the whole time on a Sunday is not going to disappoint you, do not expect a work that will revolutionize the industry because it will not be like that, just watch it as another series that talks about the chosen one and reincarnation.

Al principio esperas una serie del montón pero van pasando los episodios y trata de ser diferente aunque no lo logra tanto esto por la sencilla razón que tiene muchísimos clichés de series de reencarnación, le quieren dar la vuelta en el como lo presentan, porque el reencarnado es una persona con una gran habilidad y no solo un cualquiera, es interesante como pasan los episodios ya que la trama en verdad me gusto, es de esas series simples en su realización pero con conceptos interesantes (no impresionantes o innovadores solo interesantes), vamos viendo el como el reencarnado no fue el único en ese mundo que hubo muchos mas otros intentos dandole frescura al porque este es el elegido y no es solo la primera opción de un dios benevolente y aunque al final de toda la temporada si se va creando un grupo de chicas quienes van a estar con nuestro protagonista y se me hace algo muy cliché en este tipo de series creo que no estuvo tan mal como lo hicieron, no solo fue creado por el hecho que el autor quería tener su grupo de mujeres en la serie (en parte si es por esto) sino que tratan de justificar que el protagonista las salvo y estar están agradecidas con él (dicho así creo que si se escucha muy cliché), fue una temporada la cual espere mucho mas ya que pensé que terminaría la temporada y con ello la serie (este no fue el caso), pero aun así no estuvo tan mal, solo creo que la terminaron así para poder hacer otra temporada y alargar mucho mas la serie.
Fue entretenida y creo que si la vez en un domingo completa no te va a decepcionar, no esperes una obra que valla a revolucionar la industria porque no será así, solo vela como otra serie que habla del elegido y la reencarnación.

Something I never talked about regarding this franchise is the wordplay in the titles, as the first two combine the last syllable of a word with the first one of monogatari. It’s lost in the translation, but the original names of Monsterstory and Imposterstory are cool because of that. Then later entries lost that because the connection of syllables just wasn’t there anymore. Koyomimonogatari doesn’t reach that level either, but at least it has a double meaning of Calendar Story, because it happens across many months, while it also means the story of Koyomi, as he is the main character of every episode.

Besides that, ... I suspected even before I watched it that it would be the one to get the lowest rating out of me, since even the fanbase agrees it’s the worst entry in the franchise and don’t defend it much.

The show is usually referred as filler or a type of series of specials, more than an actual season, and that’s exactly what it feels like. It’s just about Koyomi and one girl per episode pondering about a silly mystery that might or not be related to an aberration, and as most episodes prove at the end, they aren’t. Heck, even the duration is just about half of a normal one, and even less when you consider that most have an opening and ending. So, if an episode it’s between twelve and fourteen minutes long, it’s actually about nine to eleven minutes long.

So basically, it’s just a cashgrab of an entry that shouldn’t even exist, but even just saying that doesn’t cover how bad it is. Although every season before had a lot of meandering and dead time, it was never done to this degree. Here’s a rock, let’s talk about it for twelve minutes about if it is or not supernatural, only for the resolution to be completely stupid. There are some flowers there, let’s ask ourselves if they are for a ghost or not, only for the reason to be something completely different.

Some other stories are even sillier. Kanbaru’s father looks wrong at water. Shinobu, the once most powerful supernatural entity ever, wants to eat donuts. Let’s spend a whole episode just with that.

Some episodes even go against the concept because they are not even about whether something is supernatural or not, like the Shinobu one, or the Tsukihi one, since she is convinced beforehand that her problem is not related to a ghost.

Some other even contradict the canon since, despite the show attempting to connect every story with a specific point in-series, Araragi talks with Kaiki before they actually met, and Nadeko goes to his room when she already was becoming one with the snake. Those things don’t add up.

You can’t even call this series a proper mystery, since the answers are given out of the blue through lateral thinking without any proper hint or anticipation. It’s not slice of life either, because the things that happen to the characters are initially thought of as out of the ordinary.

Maybe it’s supposed to be comedy? Well, I may not be the proper audience since I rarely laugh when watching anime, but this series didn’t even get a smile out of me, I bet I get more laughs out of Monogatari fans that dislike my reviews than this series ever got from me.

Even in terms of visuals and audio the entry just feels uninspired, because the artwork goes back to Bakemonogatari levels of polish and the motions, directing and special effects are far more common than they were in ALL the previous seasons. At the same time, since the actions of the characters are far more mundane, there aren’t nearly as much nor as good sound effects, and every piece of soundtrack and every opening is straight up reused from the shows before it. At least the intro on Shinobu’s episode is great. There’s a new ending I think but it’s nothing special, even among the not special outros of this franchise. Don’t get me wrong, both aspects are still above average but nothing compared to what was shown so far.

The only few positives I found in it is how it keeps building up the actions of Ougi, and it shows Ononoki keeping an eye on Araragi at some point around Second Season, I guess based on both her own will and Kagenui or Gaen’s orders, to ensure that events from a certain arc happen the way they did.

The last two episodes are the only ones that can be said that progress the plot, and even then the second to last barely does it and is not very serious, while the last one is the best but goes for a shocker of an ending, which doesn’t work because Hanamonogatari already showed that everyone is fine, thus it ruins the outcome that Koyomimonogatari goes for.

The best thing that I can say about this series is that is not as bad nor cheaply made as other Specials type of extra entries of other series, but if I have to go to THAT level to say something nice about an anime, then it’s seriously fucked.

The humor is soooooo fucking insufferable. Really. Who is the target audience of this, I suppose it's meant to fully commit to the shounen genre and younger audiences or something? It's just awkwardly stuck into situations where there's absolutely no place for it, ruining the atmosphere completely. A fight for life and death? Uhh yeah let's stick a gag into there so the viewer doesn't stand a chance of being invested in the story.
The fights are okay graphically, or action-wise, but the realism. God. So much plot shield. So much plot-making-someone-get-away. So sad this is the version that covers the entirety of the manga.

Guau que gran continuación es está primera parte, nos muestra de todo, un humano que no merece ganar aunque seamos de la misma raza, un dios benevolente que fue alguna vez humano, un dios traicionero y una batalla entre cuerpos sin armas, es grandioso el como el autor puede sorprender de sobra manera en cada una de las batallas a sus lectores, puede que en algunas se sienta mas el relleno pero viendo el contenido original que es el manga creo que fue necesario extender este en 15 capítulos dandole a cada batalla un episodio mas para explicar mejor algunas cosas, eso si aunque suene esto una buena idea también comete el mismo pecado que la temporada anterior que es tener mucho relleno, tanto es este que nos muestran unos personajes que aunque relevantes en un futuro la verdad no eran necesarios estos, si les gusto la temporada anterior le encantara está igual ademas de que siempre te dejaran con ganas de ver la siguiente temporada en ese mismo instante.
Eso si se nota que la temporada fue hecha muy de rápido y no tiene mucho detalle en la animación a mi parecer, por eso mismo hay veces que los escenarios o las personas del público se quedan estáticas en un solo lugar, si dejamos de lado ese detalle la temporada nos da una gran historia que nos dejará entretenidos a está, muy recomendable segunda temporada si te gusto la anterior.

I don't think I've been more let down by an anime. Watched it after glowing reviews on reddit and a high MAL score, so I expected good things. However, the story just falls flat, and none of the characters are interesting enough to make up for it. The show is just made up entirely of crude, lewd jokes and overused tropes - jiggly boobs, panty stealing, sexual harassment etc. I guess that's my punishment for taking recommendations of reddit - should've known they're all just horny teenage boys.

Honestly i've never really liked mecha genre. I think that this perspective of mine set-off mainly because of Darling in the FranXX which made me hate it.

Truthfully, this show might just have changed that perspective of mine...
• It's not only the story/mistery of Witch from Mercury which is sooooo interesting but also the dynamic between the characters, Suletta and Miorine would be the perfect example because they compliment each other so beautifully. + As a wise man once said: "little bit of gay girls in-it never hurt anyone... 🥴"

Skip and Loafer is a very underrated anime. What sets it apart is the genuine way it portrays its characters. Unlike many other slice of life anime, the characters here feel like real people, with depth and growth that's truly refreshing.

This one's a bit of a headscratcher. I was discussing the anti-popularity of the series with my girlfriend and we couldn't come up with a solid reason why 'Rent-a-Girlfriend' gets SO MUCH flak.

For a three episode OVA this was fun.

My biggest gripe is that THEY REPLACED STUNGUN MILLY THOMPSON WITH AN OLD DUDE!!! WHY???? she was so good with Meryl and her dynamic with Wolfwood was very great for his character. Yuukoku no Moriarty is an intepretation of the famous novels written by Arthur Conan Doyle, and it's clone in a pretty clever way.

I'll try to explain down below why I highly recommend watching this anime, without spoiling anything. However, I'll talk about some "minor" elements from the first part of this show, so beware if you haven't watched it.

The story :

As you might expect, this anime is about detective work and murder mysteries. One of the main strengths of this anime resides in the fact that it alternates between Moriarty's crew and Sherlock's one. Some episodes/arc will focus more on one group ... than the other, sometimes it's well balanced within a single episode, and this structure works well, since it prevents the show from falling into a predictable routine of events where each episode would follow more or less the same rhythm, as it's the case in some other mystery/detective shows.

It's hard to go further into details without spoiling, I think the events were interesting enough, and the choice to write an "antihero" as the protagonist isn't that common, but William Moriarty is probably one of the best characters of the story and you'll enjoy his actions and reasonings.

The characters :

As I've just mentionned, I guess William & Sherlock stand out from the rest of the cast ( in a good way ) and carry the show, but it doesn't imply that the other characters aren't significant. Chances are you'll become fond of the alchemy between those two as it is intended by the story. ( And if you are curious, you'll find a lot of fanart depicting that duo online... )

The animation :

The animation and charadesign were on point. I guess it's a bit cliché to make all your characters good looking, but it's a common trope in anime and there is enough difference to make every one feel unique. The animation while not being groundbreaking did feel consistent throughout the two parts, I believe it's above average and it's still the case as of today, 2 years later after its initial release.

TL ; DR :

All things considered, Yuukoku no Moriarty is an amazing show and deserves way more recognition. It's a brilliant take on what could be the adventures of Sherlock Holmes, and we can really feel by watching the episodes that the the source is taken from novels, which is quite refreshing compared with many other seasonal animes that feel way less innovative. The characters are lovable ( and HANDSOME ) and the events are exciting, what else could you ask for ? If you like anime and detective stories, nothing will prevent you from enjoying this story. To qualify a little, one might find that the story is too generous at times when admitting some elements to advance the plot, but it's important to keep in mind that it's a fictionnal work. While it does aim to recreate a realistic context, some corners will be cut ( nothing that really hurts the overall story's coherence ) and I assume that it could annoy a few viewers.

Baki has always been a bit of a mixed bag for me. I think it peaked in terms of interesting dynamics and having multiple incredible fights back during the Great Raitai Tournament Saga two seasons ago, and even then, this is mostly just a fight fest. Absurd body proportions, detail on crazy move sets, and any excuse to fight are the name of the game, and I honestly don’t think this series even does that best (I prefer the Kengan series).

From here on, I'll break this review into two halves, one coming from the first half of the season and the other coming from the ... latter half.

I will say that they really put the dynamics of a fight under a magnifying glass this season, which is awesome... but they're all against a single opponent, one whose entire history of fighting starts and ends with "he lived with, fought and ate dinosaurs." When you have a set of characters who use a wide variety of interesting tactics and have demonstrated them over previous seasons, having everyone test themselves against a physical monster who is just absurdly powerful and fast just feels like a let down. Doesn’t help that the whole premise of “caveman awakes in our time” is basically just Encino Man, but instead of goofy antics, dude just wants to fight (admittedly with some interesting nuances) and eat. Really doesn’t help that some earlier scenes in this show other things he wants that just… aren’t good. The general response of the military and scientific community are all baffling.

It's good to see the development of a couple of characters through this and to see some real maimings that result from fighting this particular opponent, but it still feels empty of actual risk to their lives, despite the series repeated attempts to make us think that more could happen. But that’s a problem I have with Baki as a whole. Ends up around a 6.3/10 for me.

Onto the second half of the season.

I would say that it’s a substantial improvement. Despite the fact this portion involved fewer fights, focusing instead on the relationship between Baki and Yujirou, it does such a deep dive into the dynamics between them that I was actually pretty invested in the characters. Each of the moves themselves are drawn out to the nth degree, which makes sense when you’re talking about the kind of fight that has been built up to for the whole series.

That being said, this still is just one fight with a lot of people standing around making clear how important it is. For all that these two characters come into it with the mentality that it’s a father-son match built on years of turmoil, tragedy and torture, it becomes an absolute event. It becomes kind of absurd how the whole thing is carved into the wall of some ancient temple to boot and how people are traveling countless miles to literally pray to Yujirou. I get that absurdity is kind of this series’ strength, but even so, this was a little much for me. I think this fight is at its best when it is about their relationship and showcasing it through the moves that Baki, in particular, learned to utilize over all this time, but for every moment that demonstrates the strength of the story, there’s just so much absurdity that it’s hard to take it as seriously as it deserves. It raises the strength of the season for me. It just barely makes a 7/10 for me, even if some of the moments are 8/10.

The main thing about the show is the mind games that Kaguya and Miyuki play with each other everyday, and it's really a striking selling point of this anime. The humor always gets me and it is different enough to keep that fresh feeling. Aside from the humor, the anime itself also depicts the awkwardness and excitement of first love. The story follows the two main characters as they navigate their way through the field of love.

During the mind games, Chika act as an excellent "chaotic" addition to the already unpredictable humor of the show, leading to very natural and laughable funny scenes that can ... never get boring. Miyuki and Kaguya's inner monologues only add to the humor, often providing hilarious details into their personalities and thoughts. Both of them would try to come up with a way to turn the tables when they're at a losing position, or find ways to keep their winning advantage, only to make the situation even more hilarious and funny to watch.

The character development is also very impressive, as all of the characters grow and change throughout the series. Kaguya and Miyuki's complicated relationship with each other matured into genuine love between the two, as they slowly understand their weaknesses and strengths, as well as their other personality quirks. Not only that, the support characters, Chika, Ishigami, and Iino also has their own problems to overcome, adding depth and enjoyment to the show.

Not only that, the voice acting of every character was stellar. Miyuki and Kaguya's respective VAs did a great job at presenting their voices during romantic sections, mind games, and inner monologues. Chika's voice was exactly how I imagined it to be when reading the manga, and complement the show's humor very well. Earlier in the anime, Ishigami's voice often served as a direct contrast to Chika's voice, being both lower and less upbeat, serving as the "straight guy" element in comedic plays, and is a nice addition to the cast so as to balance out the higher and lower tones, so your ears can take a rest :)

The animation and music matches every moment in the anime very well. The immersion that the music brings to the show is unparalleled to any other show I've watched, capturing the essence of the voice acting as well as the vibe of the moment perfectly. The vibrant and colorful animation illustrates the different emotions and expressions perfectly, and the catchy opening and ending songs are incredibly addictive (trust me I've listened to it for like thousands of times and i can never get bored of it, let alone skip the opening or ending).

The show's primary focus is on romance and comedy, which, understandably, might not be for everyone. However, it's execution and writing is objectively perfection, which is more than enough for me to give it a 10/10 rating. The clever writing, the dialogues, the rich a variable cast of characters, and genuinely expressive situations will definitely keep you watching on the edge of your seat!

To sum up, Love is War is definitely a must-watch for people that want to get into watching anime. It is a show that will keep you entertained and laughing throughout. For other anime watchers, whether you're a fan of romance and comedy or looking to get into anime, Love is War is definitely worth a watch. It's unique plot, engaging characters, and stellar music makes it one of the best anime I've ever watched with my friends, as well as one of the best anime for a long time.
